You
may enroll in Raymond Walters College if you graduated from
an accredited high school or preparatory school, or have a
GED certificate (minimum composite score of 45). The college's
rolling admission policy allows you to begin your studies
any quarter.
High school students who are considering RWC should take either
the SAT or ACT college entrance examination for use in guidance
and counseling. All students entering a degree program must
also take the college's placement test prior to registering
for classes. This test is given on the RWC campus. |

Policy for Sophomore Admission
The Veterinary Technology Program's policy for admission
to the sophomore year is as follows:
1. All freshman courses must be completed.
2. A GPA of 2.75 or better must be maintained during the
freshman year. In addition, students will be required to demonstrate proficiency in science by obtaining grades of "C" or better in all science-related coursework.
3. Acceptance into sophomore year is open to a limited number of students. Because admission to the second year is competitive,
there is the possibility of a waiting list. |
|
|
Order of Acceptance
* Qualified students who have been put on the waiting list
will be admitted first to the next sophomore class. If you
complete freshman courses before spring quarter, you will
be put on the waiting list.
* Students who have satisfied all of the above requirements
(immediately) after spring quarter of the freshman year will
be taken second.
* Students who have satisfied all of the above requirements
(immediately) after summer sessions will be taken third. |
If
a decision must be made as to the selection of sophomore students
due to a lack of space, the students with the highest GPA
will be chosen. If GPAs are similar, the number of credit
hours taken will be considered.
* Transfer student applications for admission into the sophomore
year will be taken until March 31st of each year. If there
are still open places after all RWC summer quarter grades
have been examined, transfer students may then be admitted.
* The first acceptance period will be the first week of May.
Students on the waiting list will be notified by May 15th,
and acceptance must be confirmed by May 31st.
* The second period of acceptance will be the 4th week of
June. Students completing all freshman courses while maintaining
at least a 2.75 GPA at the end of the spring quarter and any
qualified transfer students will be notified by June 30th,
and acceptance must be confirmed no later than 2 weeks after
the date of the acceptance letter.
* The third period of acceptance will be the 2nd week of September.
Students completing all freshman courses while maintaining
a GPA of at least 2.75 at the end of the summer quarter will
be notified by September 10th and acceptance must be confirmed
no later than 1 week after the date of the acceptance letter.
* No sophomore part-time students will be considered while
there is a waiting list, and/or there is the maximum number
of sophomore students. |
