Welcome to SocioQuest

SocioQuest is a repository of guided internet assignments – WebQuests, Virtual Explorations, and Internet Scavenger Hunts. The content of SocioQuests are generally written for students at institutions of higher education and advanced high school students. This is an expanding site with new material being posted on a regular basis.

The development of this web site has been supported by the American Sociological Association’s Teaching Enhancement Fund. This fund is designed to support projects that will enhance teaching and learning of sociology. This site seeks SocioQuest contributions from sociologists and students of sociology that can be shared with others.

All Web Quests on this site can be viewed and downloaded to your computer using the Word .doc format to be completed or modified at your leisure. Please refer to How to Contribute linked above for more information regarding Web Quest modifications.

This site also offers an annotated listing of internet resources that are useful in creating interesting online learning experiences for students – learning objects, video and audio libraries, and technological resources. Those resources can be accessed through the link library at the top of the page.

I hope you take the opportunity to use and contribute to the SocioQuests offered by this site.
