Cincinnati Regional Science Olympiad Updates Page

    Event Clarifications
  • Division C Experimental Design students will need to bring 75 pennies and a metric ruler with them to the event.
  • Division C Chemistry Lab students will need to bring a non-programmable calculator with them to the event.
  • Division B Mystery Architecture students will need to bring a ruler and scissors with them to the event.
  • 02-24-2008: The mandatory tournament Coaches meeting will be held Saturday, March 1st at 7:45AM in Muntz Hall room 170. Each school needs to have a representative at that meeting for any last minute items.

  • 02-22-2008: Annotated Floor Plans have been added to the Campus Maps Page. We suggest that coaches print out the floor plans and distribute them to their teams.

  • 02-17-2008: The following events will be open to the public: Balloon Launched Gliders, Robot Cross, Scrambler, Tower Building, Trajectory, Boomilever, Electric Vehicle, Robot Ramble, and Wright Stuff . See the tournament schedule for the location of these events.

  • 02-17-2008: The food concessions will be located in Muntz Hall near Montague's deli. The menu is:
    • Breakfast - Donuts, Bagels, Coffee and Hot Chocolate. Prices range from $0.75 to $2.00.
    • Lunch - BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs (with Chili if desired), pizza, variety of chips, pretzels, nachos and cheese, cookies, brownies, water, variety of diet and regular soda, Gatorade, gum, and candy. Prices range from $0.75 to $3.50.

  • 02-11-2008: All of the Events now have an Event Supervisor.

  • 02-10-2008: The Tournament Schedule has been updated to include the team home bases and a room change for Sound of Music.

  • 02-10-2008: We are still in need of an Event Supervisor for: Division C- Cell Biology.
    Send contact info for potential event supervisors to Steve Schrantz.

    Division C- Cell Biology, and Five Star Science.

    Division B- Amphibians and Reptiles, Bio-Process Lab, Catch the Wave, Metric Mastery, Oceanography, Tower Building, Trajectory, Write It, Do It.
    We have leads on several event supervisors but, we need everyone's help to recruit the remaining Event Supervisors. Send contact info to Steve Schrantz.

  • 01-13-2008:The Coaches meeting was held on Sunday, January 13, 2008. See the For Coaches page for the meeting agenda and minutes. This contains important information for the teams.

  • 12-22-2007:The Coaches meeting for the 2008 Cincinnati Science Olympiad is scheduled for Sunday, January 13, 2007 at 1 PM in Room 100 of the Science and Allied Health Building at Raymond Walters College. All teams need to be represented at the meeting.

  • 12-22-2007:The Event Supervisors meeting for the 2008 Cincinnati Science Olympiad is scheduled for Sunday, February 10, 2007 at 1 PM in Room 100 of the Science and Allied Health Building at Raymond Walters College.

  • 10-20-2007: We have started recruiting Event Supervisors for the Cincinnati Science Olympiad. If you are interested in being an Event Supervisor, click here to email the tournament coordinator, Steve Schrantz.

  • 10-08-2007: The second organizational meeting for the 2008 Cincinnati Science Olympiad was held on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 7 PM in Room 100 of the Science and Allied Health Building at Raymond Walters College.

  • 08-28-2007: The first organizational meeting for the 2008 Cincinnati Science Olympiad is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 7 PM in Room 100 of the Science and Allied Health Building at Raymond Walters College. If you are willing to help plan this year's tournament, please join us on the 28th.
