Tuition

Because Raymond Walters is an open access college of the University of Cincinnati, tuition is lower than at UC’s baccalaureate colleges. Additional subsidy from the Ohio Board of Regents to two-year campuses also benefits RWC students.

     Full-time charges*
     Ohio resident: $1744 per quarter
     Out-of-state resident: $4522 per quarter**
     Part-time charges*
Ohio resident: $146 per credit hour
Out-of-state resident: $377 per credit hour

*Both full and part-time charges include all fees.

Full-time fees include a $139 per quarter general fee, which includes parking, as well as a $75 information technology fee. Parking for part-time students is included in the per-credit-hour fee. The difference between Ohio fees and out-of-state fees is the out-of-state surcharge. Fees do not include student insurance charges.

If you are submitting these charges for employer or other reimbursement programs, please call Registration (513)745-5650 to verify fees first.

Fees are subject to change by the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. For questions regarding tuition, call RWC Registration at
(513)745-5650.

The difference between Ohio fees and out-of-state fees is the out-of-state surcharge.

**Residents of Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties in Kentucky are eligible for Ohio/Kentucky tuition reciprocity when they enroll in associate degree programs at RWC (except Radiologic Technology). To be considered for the in-state (Ohio) rates, students must submit an application available at www.onestop.uc.edu. Additional information is available in Registration and Enrollment Services.

College fees

Parking — Parking decals are not required to park in the student lots at Raymond Walters College. Parking fees are included in tuition charges. Students who take classes at other campuses of the university and need parking decals to park on those campuses should contact Business Affairs, Muntz Hall Room 150, for information.

Student Health Insurance

The University Health Service policy requires all students qualified to use the Student Health Service facilities either to have health insurance or to indicate their willingness to assume responsibility for incurred medical expenses. Health insurance from any carrier may be used to defray substantial portions of charges incurred by insured students receiving care at the Health Service.

If an insurance charge appears on your schedule/bill and you already have insurance under another policy and do not want university coverage, you MUST fill out a waiver card. Waiver cards are available in Registration and Business Affairs. Health Insurance can also be waved on-line at www.onestop.uc.edu.

If your classes are cancelled or you change your status from full- to part-time, contact Student Health Services at 556-6868 to confirm your waiver of or enrollment in the insurance program. Part-time students enrolled for at least six credit hours are eligible to purchase health insurance by completing the Student Health Insurance Action Form, also available in Registration and Business Affairs offices.

How your fees are determined

Full-Time Students — If you are enrolled for 12 or more quarter credit hours, you are considered a full-time student and your fees are charged on the basis of a full-time quarterly fee charge. Full-time tuition normally covers 12 to 18 credit hours per quarter. Fees for more than 19 hours will be charged at the part-time credit hour rate.

Part-Time Students — If you are taking fewer than 12 hours per quarter you will be charged by the credit hour. Credit hour fees are based upon your residence classification and the credit hour fee charge set for the academic college or unit offering the course you are taking.

Ohio Residence — Fees are determined on the basis of whether you are a resident of the State of Ohio or you live outside the state. Lower fees are assessed to residents of Ohio because the state provides support to the university for residents. The additional charge to out-of-state students is called the out-of-state surcharge.

Late Fees — A late registration fee of $25 will be charged when registering during calendar days 1 through 15 of the quarter . A $150 late registration fee will be charged after the 15th day of the quarter.

Your bill is to be paid in full by the first day of classes. A $200 late bill fee will be charged on the 8th day of the quarter.

Fee Differential — The general fee, per-credit-hour fee, and full-time fee are lower at Raymond Walters College than at UC’s Clifton campus. RWC students registering as part-time students with central campus courses will be charged appropriate central campus fees. Full time students matriculated at RWC pay full-time RWC fees.

Financial Aid for RWC students is coordinated by Student Affairs in conjunction with UC's Clifton campus. You can find answers to your questions about financial aid - what's available, when to apply, who’s eligible - in Financial Aid. Financial aid applications are handed out and collected at this office, then forwarded to the Clifton campus.

Most financial aid is awarded on the basis of financial need. You will have to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a form, which helps determine your financial need. Financial Aid hosts workshops to help you and your family understands this process. And as with any office, you can stop by and ask questions anytime.

As a college of the University of Cincinnati, Raymond Walters offers all the financial aid opportunities available through the Clifton campus, including Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, College Work-Study, Ohio Instructional Grants, Stafford Loans, and PLUS loans.

For an estimate of your financial aid eligibility, go to the UC Early Financial Aid Estimator.
