28SPAN121. Spanish for Law Enforcement Personnel I. 2 ug.cr. The first course in a sequence for law enforcement personnel. It is designed to help students develop useful language skills in Spanish that will allow them to deal with basic situations they may encounter in their work duties. The emphasis is on listening comprehension and speaking. Does not fulfill Foreign Language requirement in transfer programs.

28SPAN122. Spanish for Law Enforcement Personnel II. 2 ug.cr. The second course in a sequence for law enforcement personnel. It is designed to help students further develop the language skills they acquired in the first course of this sequence. The language compe­tence gained in this course will allow the students to deal with more complex situations they may encounter in their work duties. The emphasis is on increased listening comprehension and speaking. Does not fulfill Foreign Language requirement in transfer programs. Prereq.: 28SPAN121.

28SPAN150. Spanish for the Health Care Professions. 3 ug.cr. Pro­vides basic knowledge of the Spanish language to students in health care programs and to “non-traditional” students who are working in the area of health care. This course will help students master “need to know” phrases and routines of the health care field in Spanish. Prereq.: 28SPAN102,28SPAN105.
