Welcome to Foreign
Language Department.
Language courses offered by the department can be used to fulfill a foreign language requirement or to fulfill an elective. All of the department's courses meet general education requirements for the areas of Diversity and Culture, and Humanities. Diversity and Culture focuses on the analysis and understanding of the issues arising from individual and cultural differences.Experiences in foreign language and civilization, study abroad programs, and domestic programs focus on elements of cultural difference. Humanities encompasses learning concerned with human thought and relations not included in the other distribution areas. Disciplines include classics, communication, foreign languages, linguistics, philosophy, and rhetoric, among others. |
