Room 111 - Muntz Hall

Originally conceived as a lecture hall, the RWC theater has considerable
limitations when it comes to putting on a concert. However, we
overcome them with much ingenuity and humor. Below is some relevant
information.
Dimensions:
16' from back wall to proscenium (drapery can create a 2' crossover).
There is a 3'9" apron. The proscenium is 48' W x 14' H. The
wings are very small; they start at 9' at their widest points
and taper to 2' at the proscenium.
Lighting:
Preset general lighting illumination only, no gels or focusing
possible. Lights can be operated from backstage, but we generally
don't provide a lighting technician. Front-of-house lighting is
separate from stage and has three settings: high, medium, and
off. There is no dimmer switch for house lights.
Sound:
The house system is inadequate for performances, so we use an
outside contractor. However, artists may bring their own sound
system, provided they provide an operator as well.
Drapery:
Drapery is available to mask the wings and crossover if desired.
Dressing
room: There is a storage room stage right which also serves
as a dressing room. There is approx. 36 sq. ft. of usable space.
There is no running water in the dressing room. Restrooms are
in the lobby area and accessed through the house. If more than
one dressing room is needed, it can be set up elsewhere in the
theater building.
Load-in:
There is a double door (5'10" W x 6' 11" H) for load-in
upstage right; no dock available. If assistance with load in or
out is necessary, please call or indicate in tech rider.
Souvenirs:
A table can be set up for the sale of souvenir items or for display
purposes in the lobby.
Seating
capacity: 471

the show.
