Whether you are a new high school graduate, a transfer student from another college or university, or an adult returning to school after a long absence, you will find applications for admission and answers to questions you have about the RWC admissions process and program offerings in the Admissions Office. Admissions can also provide information about RWC's articulation, or course transfer agreements, with other colleges and universities.

Raymond Walters College is an open admissions college, meaning that if you are a high school graduate or have taken the General Education Development (GED) test with a score of at least 45, you are eligible for admission. To be admitted, you need to fill out an application form, and you need to provide Admissions with an official transcript from your high school or your GED scores. If you would like to transfer classes to Raymond Walters, you need to order official transcripts from previous colleges as well. Admissions will review your credits and let you know which ones will transfer to Raymond Walters College.

Once your application and transcript are received, you will receive an acceptance letter. Acceptance into the college does not necessarily guarantee acceptance into certain programs. For example, several health-related programs have special admission requirements. You may call or stop by the Admissions Office to request a college Bulletin or information on any specific program. In addition to your acceptance letter, you will also receive more detailed information on subjects such as orientation, placement testing, general information on the college, and the name of your academic adviser.

Residents of Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallitan, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties in Kentucky are eligible for Ohio/Kentucky tuition reciprocity when they enroll in associate degree programs at RWC (except Radiologic Technology). To be considered for the in-state (Ohio) rates, students must submit an application available at www.onestop.uc.edu. Additional information is available in Registration and Enrollment Services.

One last word — Raymond Walters College operates on a rolling admissions policy, which means that you can begin taking courses at the start of any quarter, not just fall.

Students transferring to RWC from other colleges should contact Enrollment Services to ensure their credits will transfer.
