To add or drop classes
Opps! You already registered for classes, but now you need to change your schedule?

You can:
1) Complete a green drop/add form, which is available in the Registration Office.
   OR
2) Drop or add classes online at www.onestop.uc.edu

Certain actions are not considered official notification of withdrawal. These are:
*assuming classes will be cancelled because you don't pay your fees
* failing to attend class; giving notice to an instructor
*stopping payment on a check used to pay fees
* crossing out course(s) on the schedule/bill
* returning only partial payment to the cashier
* verbally notifying any university office.

After day 21 of the quarter (and a shorter period during summer session), you must get your instructor’s signature to withdraw, and the course becomes part of your academic record. Through the sixth week of the quarter, a grade of "W" for withdrawal is assigned. After the sixth week through the last day to withdraw, the instructor has the option to assign a "W" or "F" for failure.

When withdrawing, it is your responsibility to contact the instructor early enough to ensure that you can get his or her signature by the withdrawal deadline.

After the last day of withdrawal, no withdrawal will be approved, except for reasons beyond your control (such as sickness, accident, etc.). The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs will be the judge of these exceptions.

If you withdraw from classes you will receive a refund of instructional fees, general fees, and out-of-state surcharges, based on the date of withdrawal and the credit hours carried. (See the deadline chart above.)

To withdraw from all of your courses
If you want to withdraw from all of your courses, you must initiate the withdrawal process in writing through the Registration Office. Complete withdrawals cannot be taken over the telephone. You may, however, write the Registration Office to request to be withdrawn from classes. The request must be received and processed by the withdrawal deadline.
