Department Overview

The Department of English and Communication at Raymond Walters College offers courses in English as a second language, preparatory reading and writing, English composition, literature, creative writing, journalism, and a variety of courses in Communication, including public speaking, persuasion, interpersonal communication, and nonverbal intercultural communication.

Courses from the English Composition sequence and Effective Public Speaking are requirements for most programs at RWC. Literature and communication courses at the 200 level meet the general education requirements of transfer programs.
